Cool Cannot Load Placeshifter on EEE PC (Xandros)

I am trying to load the Debian version of Placeshifter (6.3.10 I beleive) to my EEE PC 4G. I get an error: Cannot install package sagetv-client_6.3.10_i386.deb. Please, check your installation and try again.

It seems to be an aborted installation because I have at least one lock that I have to remove by doing " apt-get -f install".

I know from my search that there have been many to install on EE PC, I just
cant seem to figure out.

As always any advise is greatly appreciated,

-danny

There is a thread that talks about installing in Ubuntu, which is debian based, so it may help.

Check your arch

I know this post was a while ago but just in case its still an issue or someone else sees it:

What architecture are you running? I have a similar setup - running a Dell Mini 9... The default installs on these netbooks usually use a different architecture type - lpia. The intel atom processor allows for conserved power usage when running binaries built for lpia. i386 is a subset of lpia so it is possible to run i386 binaries on an install built for lpia - to do so requires forcing the binaries...

Either don't install with the deb or force the architecture type and then post the results...
