|
HDPVR + Favorites - no padding?
I noticed on the recording I had over the weekend of Battlestar Galactica (in all it's HD goodness!) that there was no padding as I have defined in the favorite for this recording on my HD-PVR.
Has anyone else noticed this? btl.

If you select the recording, choose Record Options, then select Adjust Favorite Options, does the Favorite it jumps to have padding defined? Use this method to check the Fav in case there are other Favorites for the show.
Is there start & end padding? How long is the padding & how much is missing? Were there other recordings on the same channel and do you have the option enabled to remove padding on back to back Favs on the same channel? - Andy

It shows padding defined in the Adjust Favorite screen. Start and End padding is defined as 5 minutes before / after. There is no padding present in the recording.
There is another recording, on a different channel but also on the HD-PVR, that doesn't have the padding that is defined for the favorite either. However, I tested a manual recording, and went to advanced recording options to put padding on it, and it worked there. So it's something with favorites........ I have the option to remove padding on back to back favorites disabled, although that scenario didn't apply here. btl.

There is no padding at the end either? If it is only missing at the beginning, then check this FAQ. (What happens with a Fav that has no padding?)
If that isn't it, then I'm not thinking of anything else at the moment. If it keeps happening & no one else has an idea, then contact SageTV. - Andy

No help here but I don't appear to have this problem. I get padding on my favorites. So not sure what is happening for you but it isn't an HD-PVR thing. I DO have the remove padding on back to back favorites however I can't imagine that making a difference on this since on my SD server (I have one Sage Server dedicated to the HD-PVR currently and another that only records SD) I have it OFF and I still get padding.
