H.264 ts with AC3 Audio?
I've already sent a bug report to SageTV but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced any problems with this? Basically I was finally able to create 480i H.264 video from a 480i source and have it play correctly in SageTV and on the HD100.
One of the problems is that I've only been able to get it to work in a transport stream. The other more pressing problem is that SageTV only seems to like playing a ts file with H.264 video and AAC audio. If I mux the same video with AC3 audio I get video playback but no audio. The very same ts file plays fine in PowerDVD 8. If anyone has any ideas that would be great. Thanks.

I have the problem that sage will only give me ac3 audio if I use sage's ac3 filter. I have to force this by setting it's direct show weight using direct show filter manager. There's another thread showing how to do this (set the weights). This can be dangerous because it can break other media players by making them use sage's ac3 filter (hasn't on mine).
Later... I see that sage now has a setting for audio renderer and mpeg2 audio decoder filter. I have mine set to default direct show and ac3 filter respectively. Try changing the mpeg2 audio decoder filter to ac3 (if it's not already). -- I wish that I could get it to work with the nvidia pure decoder. Others have, but I've been unsuccessful. It reportedly has lower overhead.

Working with support on this issue it's been discovered that tsMuxeR does not sync the audio properly and does not put the audio in the header properly. I have to remux it with TsRemux in order for it to play properly. tsMuxeR apprently just muxes the two together without regard for syncing.
I'm happy it's finally working though.
