Hi All,

I'm having a problem authenticating remotely with SageTV client. My SageTV server is in Dallas, behind a firewall, and I'm currently in Houston. On the firewall, I have port forwarding enabled to the SageTV server. When I connect, I'm prompted for a user/pass, and I provide the account info I set up on the SageTV master server, but it says the account info isn't valid (three tries before lockout, blah blah).

My SageTV server is running on Ubuntu - should I be using my Unix account logon info instead? Or, could someone point me to the file that SageTV uses for remote authentication, so I can verify that the expected account exists?

If you can ssh into your box just do a port forward

ssh -L 31999:localhost:31999 some.ip.addre.ss and then connect via localhost. It will let you get in to change the user password.
