Wow, I wish SageTV had a watchdog. I'm not saying SageTV is unstable.. far from it.. but to be able to detect when it is down and do a restart would be fabulous.

edit: I know the SageTV service can restart, but my experience was that service mode never recovered from this serious of a failure.

I, personally, have never had the sage service go down. My problems are all with OTHER parts of the system. Although, i suppose if the service recovery is working, I wouldn't have noticed it goind down.
