DVD Cover Art...

How do I get the DVD cover art to show up with the DVD Title?

Thanks in advance,

the quickest way I know is to search the DVD on amazon or some such and save the image as "folder.jpg" w/o quotes of course in the folder for that DVD.

i.e. if d:\movie_name\video_ts is your movie, then save the jpg as d:\movie_name\folder.jpg

This did not work. Is there any other way to do it?

Thanks again,

If you have ripped the DVD, the folder containing the movie will contain 2 folders Audio and Video. Be sure to save the folder.jpg in the video folder,
otherwise Sage won't see it.

I use the IMDB search interface along with the Read/Write Metadata plugin to get both the cover art and info for my ripped DVDs and imported movies.

Works like a charm.

you did go into Setup and refresh the imported media I assume. I just checked mine and it's in the format I listed:

Code:
D:\DVD\[movie_name]\video_ts\
d:\DVD\[movie_name]\folder.jpg

I would also check out this: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34301

I just ran it today against my DVD Profiler data and it worked like a charm.

Except some of the cover art files that you get "automatically" from IMDB look, well, like cr*p (IMHO). I often find myself surfing around looking for a nicer, more hi-res version of a cover, and overwriting the IMDB "folder.jpg". I've even gone so far as to do the "print screen, paste to MS Paint, crop, and save" deal just to get a respectable jpg. I usually end up using either wikipedia's cover art, or else print/paste/cut/save from the "slideshow" on IMDB.com (rather than the "main" one they give you).

Otherwise.... yeah, what you said.

Which is exactly why I use DVDProfiler. $30 is cheap to have it all downloaded for you.
