Sage makes a stressful day less so...

So, my wife is a week past her due date with our first child, and is being induced today. For us, seems like it will be a long process with a lot of waiting.

Thanks to the great WiFi here at the hospital and some SSH tunneling (they block all but ports 80 and 443...luckily my server is set to listen on port 443) we/she can watch movies/recorded shows, etc from home instead of the limited channel selection available on the real TV.

Thanks SageTV - you've helped us chill out during a not so chill time.

Robb

Just think, 50 years ago your job was to pace in the waiting room with a pack of cigars in your pocket. Nowadays not only are fathers in the room, they are streaming multimedia!

cool sage story. hope all goes well with the delivery, good luck!

I wanted to try something similar when our daughter was born a month ago, but I never found the time! Good luck with everything, and let us be the first to welcome a future SageTV user into the world!
