Strange problem with pvr-250 and sage tv

I have a strange problem, I'm using sagetv , a ivac16 pvr-250 and pinnacle showcenter media receiver.

If I record a show through the Svideo/ line-in I can play the mpg on the pc but the mpg that gets streamed to the media reciever has no sound.

If I record through the tuner, the audio is fine.

I can see no difference in the mpeg generated by the two processes, bitrates look the same using vcdeasy audio analyser tool.

Equally strange, is that the showcenter has 2 audio outputs, one goes to the tv the other to the stereo. I CAN get the sound from the stereo reciever.
THIS is very Very wierd.

Please read entire post:

Audio plays fine under following conditions:

1) played from pc
2) recorded from tuner
3) through audio reciever connected to showcenter, Thats the strangest one. (their both rca inputs, not spif or digital) . Maybe the receiver can handle a higher range.

Strange but true... Not sure what the significance is between the tv and the stereo. analyser says the audio is standard, mpeg layer 2. 384k

What I need to figure out is what is the difference in the way the hauppage card creates the mpeg file.
