Hey Guys...I'm having a weird problem with dvbe4sage. When I do the manual recording through the dvbe4sage interface, it works great...no problems at all. However, when I try to watch and change the same channels in SageTV, I get no signal. I watch N3xt console while I change the channel within Sage and it doesn't appear to update for the new channel, although dvbe4sage tries to record the new channel and show. However N3xt updates properly when using the manual interface.

I don't think its a problem with dvbe4sage/n3xt because the manual recordings work fine. I'll get a no signal on a channel in SageTV then net stop the service and get the manual recording without any problem. It doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to the channels it drops either.

I attached the log file showing the first couple tune in using the manual interface...all of which worked without problems. The next 4-5 channel changes occurred within SageTV and only 1 or 2 worked.

It's late and I may be doing something really stupid...if so forgive me.

Any ideas please?!

You are awesome. I thought that was referring to number of DVBS2 tuners...not the index of my DVBS2 tuner. Problem fixed...seems to be working great now.

Anybody know why I'm getting the error "No IBDA_DiseqCommand interface could be found (running Windows XP?) trying old way". I posted my ini/log files below. I've used this EXACT same config for two other setups. WTF?!

I have a Dish 1000.2 running on XP with the BDA driver installed and running. There is also a power inserter to help power the LNBs...but I don't know why those would affect anything. I saw someone else post a similar problem on a different forum, but my config already has the corrections mentioned.

Any ideas?!

I have an HD Homerun that I use with SageTV.

During dvbe4sage startup, I see the following error:

2011-07-05 00:14:50.706 #1: Loading filter "Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 101452D9-0" - doesn't fit, unloading!

2011-07-05 00:14:50.954 #1: Error: Could not Build the BDA filter graph
How do I fix this?

You can set up the HDHR directly in SageTV. You don't need to us DVBE4Sage for that.

Sorry I misunderstood. You need to edit the dvbe4sage.ini file

ExcludeTuners=1

TBS 6981

No idea on the 6984, but I use 2 x 6981 I think the price is about the same, problem with the Quad tuner is when it breaks all 4 feeds break.

Yes, I have tested the TBS 6984 with dvbe4sage. I previously had 2*6981 and 2*tt3200. I can't say I was overwhelmed, and in the end I returned the 6984.

Both the 6981 and 6984 were not able to receive certain SD transponders. I could not find the differentiator between them and other SD transponders. HD was fine. I should mention that the old PCI tt3200 worked fine on all transponders. I was sent the 6984 by TBS in order to test the problematic transponders, but there was no improvement.

Also the 6984 drivers (at least 4 months ago when I tested) were sub-par and often crashed my server. That might have improved since.

In the end I abandoned TBS and ordered 5*tt3600 USB external tuners from DVBshop. I haven't had one problem since. They were only 58.5 USD each.

does anyone have the DVBE running with DVB-s in Europe (maybe germany) ?

I am not new to DVB-s, but i cannot get it setup sucessfully with my 4-tuner system. The documentation is focused on U.S. broadcast and somehow confusing me.
If i understand correctly, then i have to create one instance of DVBE for each transponder ?

would be happy to see a sample-config of a running system.

thx
Frederik

Actually the real author of the software (mporg) is from Europe, all these latest enhancements seen lately are part of the work of CodeMonkey and me (which both are on NA, and just me being an actual SageTV user, and him just doing for the fun of sat hobby), with some coaching of mporg

And for a sample config, well it depends on the provider, satellite, and your actual config of DVBS cards, switches, lnbs, etc. and plus a working MDAPI plugin for your provider which would allow you to use your Access Card to decrypt the channels.

there are a few guides on the net, last time i tried all of them until it worked, but i can'd do it again :-(

maybe someone else was more carefull and as a repeatable process ?

Hi, guys - I noticed a new DVBE4Sage EPG Parser plug-in up on the Google Code site. Is it ready for "Prime Time"? (Pun intended )

If "yes", how do I install / activate it?

Does anyone have set-up info on how to use DVB Enhancer for sageTV on Freesat (UK)?
The link in post #1 for sky set-up seems to now point to a non-existent blog.

I am currently using DVBLogic and am wondering whether DVBE4Sage is going to be a better option.

Thanks for any help

Dont understand why you would use either for freesat only.

Only reason would be if your DVB-S didn't work direct in SageTV

That's exactly it - the TBS 6981 tuners don't show up in SageTV - so I have to use another method to access them

I am less now

I just discovered a line in the sage.properties file that started 'mmc/ignore_encoders= ...' and the TBS's were in the list.

I can't remember doing that but I guess I must have somehow?

Anyway, I removed them from the list and as if by magic I can see them. So I am now channel scanning - so thanks for the tip Will
