Waiting for SageTV to finish initialization ....

I just noticed that my Sage server is hanging and displaying the message "Waiting for SageTV to finish initialization ..... My server runs headless and all of my extenders run fine so I just noticed this error. I'm guessing it has been there since upgrading to 6.4.3 (just noticed the new beta). There is a java exception towards the end of the logfile, see below:

Do you happen to have this set in your Sage.properties file from using the MVP in the past?

I just noticed an NPE bug related to that if the interface doesn't actually exist which would look just like what you posted. (I also fixed it for the V6.5 RC)

No.

When I updated to the previous beta I also updated Java to release 1.6-10 so it may be related to that. Java 1.6-11 seems to be out so I'll try that and I'll try upgrading to the latest beta. If that does not work I'll downgrade Java to what was working in the past.

I'll post results here over the weekend.

BTW - I'm always impressed that you monitor these forums and take the time to answer questions. There is a saying in the restaurant business that also fits here. "What do you find in a successful restaurant that you do not find in a failing restaurant? - The owner."

Edit - It turns out I did have the forced_server_ip setting in the properties file. I removed it and all is well again.
