HD200 + MCE Remote = Thank You!!

4. Experimental RC6 IR remote support -- can use the MCE remote

I've been waiting for this since the day I got my HD100. I just hope they can port the support backwards to the HD100.

I had to try this out this morning. So far it works!!!

I went through the setup in Stand alone mode. I was able to get the remote working to navigate the menus in Stand alone mode.

Next I connected to the server and no MCE Remote. I went through the Link IR command setup from the setup menu in extender mode and so far everything I have set up works.

I even have the "Green" button programed as the home menu button.

So far I can't get it to power up the HD200 by setting the PC button on the remote to power. However, the PC button won't turn the unit off either, it only puts it into standby. Since I only use the HD200 as an extender and not in Stand-Alone mode this isn't really a problem for me.

Thank you sageTV. When I heard this was added a plopped down another $200 to the sageTV folks. While this wasn't the only reason I wanted another extender to replace my PC client, it sent me over the edge. I didn't want to have to plop down another $50-$200 ( really wanted another Harmony 1) on another universal remote on top of my HD200 purchase. I look forward to getting rid of the PC in my bedroom!
