Merry xmas!, moving to dish, some hardware questions..
I'm currently running a sagetv server in my basement with 2 tuners, hauppuage 150 and a 250. I've got 2 sagetv client pcs connected to tvs in the house one use a Streamzap remote and 1 using a MCE type. Everything has been working great, but now as a "surprise" my wife canceled the cable and ordered us dish network.
I have no idea what hardware the dish people are bringing out yet, i but i do know it will have 2 tuners. SO, my question is, in order to maintain my current setup, do i just need the USB UIRT to let sage talk to the dish tuners? I'd like to disrupt my current setup as little as possible.. Also, no HD anywhere, I just don't care about HD yet. (dunno if that matters). |

Yeah, a USB-UIRT is probably the easiest thing. The one thing you'll want to make sure is that they bring two boxes, you can only use one of the tuners on a dual-tuner box with Sage, since the second tuner is RF controlled (not IR).
