Will this work?
I have a functioning SageTV media server that is using the Hauppauge HD PVR and I have this computers video output and SPDIF going into a Neothings video 8x8 matrix input - since it is recording in Hi Def (DirecTV HD receiver), only my Hi Def matrix outputs can be used.
But, I have some std def outputs off that media server - I was thinking getting a media extender and have that plugged into the matrix as an input with std connections (composite/right/left RCA). Then, my outputs that are standard could use that input. I am thinking it won't work because it won't down mix my recordings? If I record in SPDIF/HD on my Sage server, will the extender play that content through the composite/right/left RCA? Thanks, |
