HD PVR blaster on WHS
I am trying to migrate Sage from an XP box to an HP EX485 running Windows Home Server. The HD PVR drivers installed correctly and seem to work perfectly with SageTV. I am running into problems, however, installing the IR blaster.
When I run the install (using the latest version available from Hauppauge's website) it gets most of the way and then gives me the error: GLJ29.tmp - Unable To Locate Component - This application has failed to start because HCWTVWND.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. If I click OK, it gives me a similar error, this time looking for HCWUTL32.dll. If I click OK, it finishes and thinks it is complete. If I go into C:\Program Files\WinTV and try to run BlastCfg, I get an error that says "Component 'ChSuite.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." Any recommendations? Thanks. |

You could try to run the installer in compatibility mode.

I had to install the winTV application in order to get the missing .dll files.
Install WinTV. Install the 2 IR programs. You should be good to go.

Got it!
I got it to work. Thanks!
For some reason, I had to install: WinTV The IR Remote Control software and The HD PVR Scheduler software Then, I was able to successfully install the IR Blaster software. Thanks again. |

I did not install any of the Arcsoft software on my WHS server. WinTV and the IR Blaster programs are on the Hauppage CD.
