No TV With SageRecorder
I installed the trial version of SageRecorder earlier this evening and I'm having a very difficult time viewing TV with it. Once in the last hour or so I was able to view TV but when I shut the app. down and restarted it, the same problem occurred. The view window does not come up automatically when the application starts. When I click CRTL W, it tries to come up, flashing on for perhaps a half second or less. After about 45 seconds, it quits and nothing else happens I know the problem is not my video card since I have no problem watching TV with the PVR-250 appli-
cation. Has anone else had this problem or heard about it?

Which PVR 250 do you have iTVC15 "Hauppauge WinTV-PVR PCI II (Encoder)" or new 16 "Hauppauge WinTV-PVR PCI II (Encoder-16)".

Re: No TV With SageRecorder
SHS,
Based on info. in the Device Manager, I'd say its WIN TV-PVR PCI II (Encoder). By the way, everything seems to be working OK at the moment. How long that will last is another matter.

Allen,
To get the video window to be displayed automatically on launch of SageRecorder, enable the "Preview on Startup" option in Setup. When you say it quits after about 45 seconds, what do you mean by it quits? Thanks,

Re: No TV With SageRecorder
Jeffrey,
What I meant by it stops trying after about 45 seconds is that after that nothing appeared to be happening. Before that time the video window was apparently trying to come up but it would last for only about a half second or so. As you may have seen from my earlier post, it appears to be working OK at the moment. I didn't do anything. It just abruptly came up. I've turned the appli- cation off and back on several times and so far all seems to be well. And, yes, I discovered the Preview on Startup option. What I'm still puzzled by is that after I play an MPEG file, the app. doesn't return to TV. Shouldn't it? I can get it to return to TV but shouldn't it do so automatically without any effort on my part?
