Arrow STV Import: Flyout Menu for Default STV (with DynamicMenu)

This stvi will 'flyout' some optional buttons on the left side of the main menu when the left button is pressed. This import only works with the Default STV and must already have the DynamicMenuImport loaded.

To install: Extract the zip file into /SageTV/SageTV... In addition to the stvi & jar, it will also add a folder under the Themes directory called "STVi Import Icons" which holds the icons used. If you remove them, then sagetv will default up the structure to it's default icons.

Get the latest from the download section: Download Section
<<Current version is 0.6.4>>

Is it possible to post some screenshots so that we can get an impression what this does?

I've added another screenshot to the download page (that makes 2) and, unless I'm screwing something up, there's already a screenshot inside the initial post.?.? - I'll attach one also.

Your latest version (0.6.3) isn't importing into Sage at all. (Even if I manually import thru Studio the fly out widgets don't show up.) Your previous version worked fine. (0.4.2)

I'm not seeing the issue yet - still trying. I'm using 6.5.9.204 - are you on the new beta? Any other imports which could be throwing it off?

EDIT: This version has an on/off switch in customization. Maybe it's off (default setting i think).

Nope. Here's what I have. Latest beta-6.5.12. Dynamic Menus and your Flyout 0.6.3 are the only plugins. When it is all done loading the left arrow does nOT bring out your flyouts. (So I can't get to your customizations. ) Your previous version (0.4.2) would have a Flyout menu widget if you opened up Studio. This version does NOT import anything from your STVI. Probably has something to do with running the latest beta I'm guessing.

Gerry

EDIT-OK. I figured out where your widgets are. Your menu is NOT showing up under Detailed Setup-Customize for me. I found it in Studio and launched the menu. It came up as a black screen but I was able to enble the option and now it flys out with the left arrow. Again I'm running the latest 6.5.12 beta.

Edit 2: OK-My bad. Your menu show ups once I enbled the unsupported extras. I had turned them off previously for trouble shooting. SO without the unsupported extras being on your menu won't show up to turn it on. You may want to consider adding your menu like the comskip plugin does-it shows up whether the extras are on or not or change the instructions to include enableing the unsupported extras. Second suggestion - you may want to enable it by default. If I am importing it I probably want to use it. Just a suggestion. Not everyone uses the unsupported extras.

Edit 3: Your flyout sleep menu doesn't actually sleep SageTV to the tray like I have mine configured for. Your sleep button actually just starts the slideshow for me. It should follow what SageTV is setup for from Detailed Settings.

Your right, this was kind of stupid on my part. I've fixed this in 0.6.4

I've fixed the 'Standby' option within the Settings Sub-Menu Flyout to actually standby (0.6.4) but I've left the 'sleep' button on the vertical bar along for now.

I'll take a look into this in the future.

Thanks for spending the time & your inputs.

Hopefully they helped. I like what you're doing with this. I'm thinking about incorporating this with an idea for a new default STV. Once I get everything worked out in my head.
