Ripped movie doesn't play
I have this with several movies but I tested one with VNC today and I can watch it fine. If I watch it with my hd100 it skips almost immediately to the end. It doesn't show the full time. Several of my movies do that where they don't know the entire duration of the film on the progress bar at the bottom. Any ideas?
This particular file is an MPG. Thanks! Neil |

Not sure if it's related, but last night I was watching a rip (.iso) of The Dirty Dozen, which is 2.5 hours long. Mid-way through, Sage just quit playing as if it was finished. When I restarted, I noticed that the time of the movie (while paused) was 1.25 hours. Hmmmm....fast forward and near the "end" it suddenly started playing the video from near the end of the movie...fast backward to near the beginning, and it jumps from about 1/2 way through to suddenly playing the start of the movie. Very odd.
Long story short, I usually play .iso files from Standalone mode on the HD-200, but had a brain fart and played it from the Sage server / Media center menu. Standalone mode works far better with iso files than does Sage server (I'm not running SageMC). Oops, sorry, just re-read that you're using HD-100. But as that doesn't have a standalone mode, perhaps the root cause is the same: something in Sage server software. |
