Hauppauge news from CeBIT
Thanks to a thread at AVS:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...hreadid=380985 Some Hauppauge news from CeBIT: http://www.e-consultancy.com/newsfea...-at-cebit.html Of note: 802.11g version of MediaMVP DivX for the MVP WinTV Nexus CA (Cablecard?! Dare we hope?) MultiPVR - Official multiple 250 support (Fixed drivers?) PVR on Linux (Good news for H or bad for Myth?) Keep in mind this is from CeBIT in Europe so I doubt the Nexus CA will have any impact in the US, but the Wifi MVP, DivX MVP, and MultiPVR should be welcome improvements. |

My favorite part of the news brief:
MultiPVR Hauppauge is demonstrating the first system capable of using several WinTV-PVR-250 analogue tuners at the same time. The MultiPVR system can receive and record several transmissions at the same time. The development has been possible thanks to Hauppauge's built-in hardware MPEG1/2 encoders that reduce the load on the host CPU. I guess they had a brain fart and forgot about all the SageTV users already doing this. Carlo |

Well hopefully it means they've fixed the drivers.

Just saw in the thread the Onair HDTV/analog USB2 device. I guess this is compatible with SageTV (analog only) since it uses a Conexant CX23416 MPEG-2 Encoder chip?

This must have been referring to SageTV, since Hauppauge was using our software at CEBIT.

1: Wireless MediaMVP (A compact flash plug-in card to add wireless) this new model
2: DivX done via a transcode on the PC (For both old and new model) 3: Internet Radio (For both old and new model) Probably have these for a download in about a week or two so. |
