stvxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.img files in C:\temp

Does anyone know if there's something related to sageTV which causes it to put hundreds of stvxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.img files in my windows temp folder? If so, any way to reduce the amount of files it saves to my temp folder; or stop it all together?

Thanks,
Michael

I don't have any such files and I've never heard of the stock UI doing that, so I'm guessing it's a SageMC thing.

I have those... I setup a job to cleanup my C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp at bootup. With the latest Beta it cleans them up after Sage shuts down .... and I do not use SAGEMC on this client. When I first cleaned it up I had over 100 files.

BTW I might have had all those files because I use this client as a test machine so I might not have shutdown Sagetv gracefully all the time.

Hmmm.... I wonder what the purpose of these files are. It's definitely linked to sageTV; not necessarily sageMC.

These are SageTV's temporary files that get deleted when SageTV exits normally. If the app stops for whatever reason w/o a normal exit (software crash, system crash, process manually killed, etc.), then there is no chance for SageTV to clean up the files. That temp folder gets filled with all kinds of files from various apps over time, so you might just want to delete all the files there periodically.
