Placeshifter Access
I am just setting up Placeshifter and it found my address, but is unable to access the server port. I fixed the firewall, but it still is not able to access it.
How do I ensure that it is forwarding it to my SagevTV server computer? What else do I need to do? |

You need to open the port on your computer's firewall software, and you also need to configure your router to forward incoming traffic on that port to the appropriate local IP address. Exactly how you do that will depend on your router. If your router supports UPnP, then Sage can attempt to do it automatically, but if that doesn't work you may need to configure it manually.
It's a good idea to try Placeshifter first from within your LAN to make sure you have the server config and software firewall set up right. Once you have that working, then you can set up the port forwarding and try it from outside your LAN.
