HD200 DVD Rip freezes
I just got my HD200 and I am having a major problem. I have my entire DVD collection backed up to my Windows Home Server in File Format. I did this by using DVD Shrink and AnyDVD. I used no compression and have the entire disc intact.
The HD200 sees all the DVDs and will let me start playing them. However every single one freezes at some point during the movie and it is always at the some point during that paticular scene. For example in Batman Begins it always freezes right after the scene of him being thrown out of prison. In Fanboys it is during the scene when the are talking about the plan at the party. Everytime it freezes I can push the home key and it will go back to the main SageTV menu and will let me play the movie from the begining but will freeze again when it reaches that point in the movie. If I push other buttons it brings up the status bar and it looks as if the movie is playing but the scene is still frozen, By that I mean the time status bar is moving but the picture isn't. Any suggestions on how I can get this work correctly? Thank you, |

Not enough info provided...
By "File Format" do you mean ISO? Are you using the HD200 standalone or connecting to a SageTV server? The only time I experienced a problem similar to yours was with an ISO of "The Dirty Dozen", a very long movie. I made the mistake of watching ISO file via Sage TV server. If you're using ISO's, you really should be using the HD200 standalone mode. It's more compatible. If you already are, I don't have a clue... |

Sorry,
The file format is VOB. They are in the Video_TS folder I am using it in Stand alone. |

Make sure all the VOB files are 1GB or less. They should be if the image was created properly; but some apps will merge the VOBs into larger files which is non-standard; and I think may cause an issue like this.

Did you see where to set it in DVDShrink?
DVDShrink > Edit > Preferences > Output Files > check "Split VOB files into 1GB size chunks (recommended)" |

Yeah, I found that. Not sure how it got unchecked. Oh well in the process of re-ripping everything.
Thanks for the help |
