Filtering encrypted channels during DVB scans
Andy,
I know this is slightly off-topic but I will ask anyway. Is there away to filter out channels that are scrambled when scanning DVB capture sources? It would be great to have options like 1. Scan and keep only FTA channels 2. Scan and keep all channels After scanning being able to sort by placing FTA channels first (like you have the enabled channels first now) would be great too. Just a thought. You can't imagine what a painstaking task it is to sort through 1500+ channels which are mostly encrypted and of no interest.

Lucas: I just wanted to say that we are going to look into an option to filter out encrypted channels, but I can't give any promises at the moment.

I've moved this to its own topic for better follow-up.
The v6.5.18 beta has a core change that should provide the STV with a way to filter the encrypted DVB channels. I can't test it myself, however, so I would like to do some testing with an STV update I'll post within a day or so. One question I have is: do you ever add encrypted channels & then later want to rescan only the FTA channels, leaving any scanned & mapped encrypted channels in place? - Andy
