HD-PVR Format for MVP

I am trying to setup a few recordings that would record in a format that would not need to be reencoded to watch on a MediaMVP. I have tried every option I can think of and I cannot get them into a format that work. Any ideas?

It appears that the recordings might not be accepting a change in formation from the default. I have a favorite setup to record in VCD @ .6 GB/HR. But the actual recording is:

Encoded by: Hauppauge HD PVR Capture Device Best-H.264
File Format: MPEG2-TS[H.264 1080i, AC3/384Kbps@48kHz Stereo]

How can I force a favorite to record in a different format?

The HD PVR can't record in a format that the MVP can play without transcoding. The HD PVR only supports H.264 video compression and the MVP doesn't.

You also can't change the resolution the HD PVR records in, it records whatever resolution/format is it given (determined by the STB you're feeding it with), though you can adjust the bitrate. Sage automatically uses a lower bitrate for SD.
