Starchoice (motorola) DSR505 and Hauppauge remote trouble
Having some trouble getting a DSR 505 to respond to a Hauppauge 45 key remote via Sage.
If I use the Hauppauge IR Blaster software, I can see the red light on the IR Blaster flashing away when a send mouse clicks. Sadly, the DSR505 doesn't respond. Usually the code is 0027, but none seem to work. If anyone has had this problem can you let me know thanks PS - with these boxes, you can change the remote address, as UHF remotes are the norm. Is it possible that the Hauppauge IR blaster will only communicate if the motorola is set to the default remote address ( zero, I think)? Last edited by tvmaster2; 08-01-2009 at 11:44 AM. |

yup - that's the answer for any canucks doing this. The Hauppauge remote IR blaster will only talk to a DSR-505 on remote address "zero", which is a real drag if you have two receivers, two remotes and two Hauppauge units of any kind.
