Pink Screen of Death
I am using SageTV with a Radeon 3650 card. All of a sudden I cannot watch any shows on the server - I just get a pink screen. These can be cable shows in SD tuned by my PVR USB2, OTA ATSC shows, or HD-PVR shows.
How can I fix this? I can watch anything just fine on my Sage Client or Sage Theater. I am using 6.6.2.218 2009080601 as versions. Thanks for any help. |

The pink screen is usually associated with the color key of the overlay renderer. Try changing the Video Renderer (Detailed Setup->Video/Audio) setting or the Overlay Color Keying (Detailed Setup->Advanced) setting in SageTV Detailed Setup on the server. Some other stuff to check or try...Do you have an up-to-date video driver installed? Also make sure in the Display Properties in Windows that you have the desktop set to 32-bit color depth. Also in the Display Properties in Windows, try switching the resolution to something else, apply the new resolution setting, and then switch the resolution back, and apply the setting again. If you still have pink screen playback after that, uninstall any codec packs you may have installed previously and see if that fixes the playback on the server. If all of that fails, then I'm stumped.

Thanks Rob - that's about where I arrived, by trial and error, not skill. Appreciate your help.
