Sage TV won't start at all - RESOLVED
I've been using Sage TV for 18 months with no problems. I had to uninstall and then tried to reinstall using the latest version. Install went fine, but clicking on icon does nothing. Nor does "Run as Admin". Nothing happens. No log files generated.
I submitted a ticket and George is trying to help, but the communication is slow at best. I thought perhaps I might get a quicker solution here. I'm running Vista 64. I'm using Comodo Free Internet Security, with a couple anti-virus, anti-security and anti-malware stuff, but nothing is new. I'm pretty sure I didn't click a setting anywhere that would not allow it to run, but I'm pretty sure it must be my system. Any thoughts at all? |

I had something similar where Sage wouldn't start if the service was running on the same machine. When you uninstalled, did you delete the folder then reinstall? Can't remember but I think that is what I had to do.

Could also be a java related problem.. Might want to go through and uninstall all the various Java installs you might have, and put on the latest. Then try again.

Thanks! It was the Java after all. I used the Windows Installer Cleanup to remove all Java, then downloaded newest Java version and installed it. Sage TV is now up and configuring. Thanks!
