Getting ready to add another hd200

Currently my wife has a hddvr from the cable company. Currently I have the hddvr connected to three tv's. One tv is connected via hdmi. The other 2 are standard type tv's and connect via coax. The cable company hddvr will output via hdmi and rf simultaneously. So now you see my issue, the HD200 will output via component or HDMI. SO I am currently trying to figure out how to replace the cable companies hddvr. The only thing I need to figure out is distributing the video to the tvs.

This is the requirements

TV1- I have to distribute HD tv, this tv has HDMI, component etc
TV2- only has RF or composite. Does not matter if the TV is downconverted to this tv
TV3- has component, composite and rf. Does not matter if the TV is downconverted to this tv

Cost is certainly a factor while considering a solution.

Any ideas?

So you get a HD200 for each TV. Done. You already have a SageTV server and a HD-PVR tuner. Connect the HD-PVR to the component out of the hddvr. Record your programs to the SageTV server. Watch the recordings from every TV that has a HD200 connected to it.

Wow that would be expensive. I was hoping a person might have a better suggestion than spending $180 x 3 tv's plus shipping. Especially since these are tv's that are never watched at the same time..

If you're really in a pinch to save money, you could look on eBay for a couple of used Hauppauge MediaMVPs for the TVs that don't require HD quality. I would think your AMD Phenom 9750 could keep up with transcoding HD recordings to two MVPs if you went that route. Just remember, any money you spend on MVPs now will take away from money that could have been saved for a later purchase of an HD200. It also might be worth holding out for a couple more months to see if SageTV will offer any good discounts on the HD200 for the holidays.

The HD200 will output on HDMI and Composite at the same time. You could get a RF modulator thingy to go from composite and analog stereo audio to your RF coax cable to TV2

A $200 one time purchase per TV is not a lot of $$$$. When you upgrade the TVs. the HD200s will be compatible with the new sets. I gave up on wMVPs, wired or wireless, long ago. By the time you buy the wMVPs and the license it's almost as much as an HD200.

Also check around for used HD-100s (ebay).. I bought one HD-100 new then got 2 more..

Someday I will probably get a HD-200 for my main TV but I am happy thus far with the HD-100s
