Loving 7 as a server/client. Fast, reboots in seconds after the BIOS screen finishes. MCDU will allow you to do anything with decoders that you want (7 wants to insert the MS decoders into everything, no matter what the DirectShow merits are. MCDU renames the MS stuff and allows you to set your defaults. See: http://www.hack7mc.com/category/codec ).

Are you using 64 bit or 32 bit Windows 7?

I'm running Win 7 64 bit on three clients using the workaround from the Beta forum with absolutely no playback problems. My Sage Server is WHS which has been great.
