HD200 delivery in UK
Just bit the bullet and bought two HD200s.
How long should I expect to wait to see them appear assuming SageTV have them to send? Will I be phoned up by customs asking for cash before they eventually arrive? Thanks, Michael |

You'll get a slip through the post from parcel force telling you that you have to go a particular branch, pay the customs and collect it, or you can pay over the phone I think and they'll schedule a delivery.
I was impatient and went to pick it up armed with my credit card... |

Cool. Best Sage decision I made... They are excellent (Unless you enjoy messing with codecs as the missus swears at you! best one was when the temporary purevideo licence expired! )
Want another one for the kitchen now....

Yep, welcome to the club
Superb bit of kit.Expect to wait about two weeks, all my extenders arrived around about this time period. Also don't forget you'll need an adaptor to plug it in. Cheers Ben

This is bloody annoying. The power brick is a nice 110/220V auto-detecting universal power supply but it has a US plug!. It would have been so much nicer to have a socket in the device that one plugged a two-pin figure of eight power cable with a proper UK, European. Australian etc plug. Sage please take note when you re-order power supplies for this otherwise excellent device.

their kit ? Did you buy one for each of us ? That really is too kind ![]() oh, BTW make sure you have a spare fuse for the shaver adapter, a few of us have had them blow.... (In my experience once since I bought it in January, so its not a regular event)

could you post the duty charges please, I've been considering extenders and have been watching exchange rates which were poor for a while but have started to improve

I hope you get a customs person in a good mood.
I didn't get any charges for my HD100 but did for the HD200 :-( I can't remember what it was though, around the £30 mark I think. |

When I'm expecting new stuff I check every 5 mins, can't leave it alone, like picking a scab :-)
So I phoned the parcelforce up when it said awaiting custom charging to see if I could speed things up by paying. They have much more info on their screens and more up to date than the parcelforce web site. They said it had passed through without charges but I notice the tracking web site now says released with charges. My HD200s are only 10 miles from me now! So I shall find out soon. Michael |

Got charged for customs:
£24.00 VAT + £13.50 parcel force clearance charge = £37.50 Glad I ordered two at once. In a letter this morning - off to collect. Michael |

Got one setup.
Effortless setup. On the whole looks great. Menus are a bit quicker but still slow in the usual places - and I can hear my server disk crunch in those places. Will get some sticky tape to calm down the LEDs. Webfeedencoder works fine. Only downside so far is that it won't play my home videos taken on a Casio Exlim camera. There is a very familar stuttering. All these vids played fine on the MVP. Michael |

Did you check for firmware updates?
It probably wont have the latest on, just what ever was current when it was made.

Yep.
Dave ja Vu seems to freeze and restart all the time and my home movies don't work. But otherwise really pleased. Marked improvements in video and audio. The MVP used to be susceptible to interference from the Sony TV which caused moving lines across the screen visible close up. Those have gone. Michael |

Hi all,
other than a plug adaptor, is there anything else that needs to me done to make the HD200 UK friendly? PAL/NTSC unpleasant-ness? as i understand it you don't need to buy an extra client type license for the HD200. is that correct? Thanks mevans

I have found that i need to select PAL from the 'stand-alone-mode' main menu/settings of the HD200.....
This seams to have cleared up a bit of jerkiness in the picture.
