Cut Commercials, then convert
I am looking to cut commercials out of my recordings using VideoRedo into a video import directory (not a recording directory). I know I have to keep the file name the same in order for it to show up in Sage Recordings. I want this to show up as a second recording next to the original so I can make sure it worked. Then I would delete the original. Is all of this possible without having to restart the SageTV service? I have looked at all the FAQs for why this is not working for me. The only thing I can come up with is I have to restart Sage. I have also tried running refresh imported media. I have also tried deleting the original and then refreshing imported media. Still no go.

I believe you would want to rename the original file and then name the cut commercial one the same as the original.
