Feature Request - Dynamic Screensaver - Channel

Bought a couple wifi photo frames (Kodak) for relatives for Christmas and after playing with them awhile I really like the concept that they use for content delivery beyond just local photos. The Kodak ones work with Framechannel, but I see MS has a similar thing in Live called FrameIT. The FrameChannel one seems more complete from a content perspective. It has news pages, sports, and lots of other pretty neat content. You can even set up the mix of content based on time of day.... Throw in the Traffic and weather for the morning commute.

I'm not clear on what you're asking for here. You're saying you want to view SageTV content on a digital picture frame? Or you want SageTV to turn your computer into a digital picture frame?

I think what he’s asking for is a dynamic screensaver option that combines some of these other data elements while the SageTV screensaver slideshow is running... Kind of like sidebar gadgets I guess, but viewable while the screensaver is running.

Precisely...
If you look at the items that I mention, they are set up to feed content to digital frames. This content is a mix of Photos (own and sent to your account by others), News headlines, Sports, Stock prices, Weather screens and even Traffic.
This would be nice as a screensaver and visualization during music playback

I think it would be nice too. In addition, I think it would be nice if the user could interact with the screensaver slideshows. Many times when the screensaver is running, which is frequently, pictures pop up and are gone with no way to go back and see a random pic that might have a story behind it. It would be nice to pause, step back/forward and resume the screensavers slideshow.

Actually I found a way to make FrameIT work with no programming... sort of.
I downloaded the FrameIT Client Powertoy to my computer and have it sinc with a folder set as an Picture import directory in Sage. Only thing seems to be that it is very slow to sinc and does not seem to do it very frequently.

Hopefully there is a better solution with the SDK...
Though FrameIT does not seem to have as many partners as FrameChannel, so I did some further searching and found this link for FrameChannel Client on Wii...
Which also seems to work in my browser as well as on Wii.
Any chance that could be used as a feed for Sage?
