Files & Folders missing even after frequent refreshes

Like the title says; I noticed last night many files and folders were missing when looking for some videos on my HD 200. I've been using the device flawlessly for about a year now, so nothing should have changed. No change to the media folders being searched by the HD 200 or anything like that.

When I tried simply browsing the network on the HD 200, and I tried to play the file, it said the file no longer existed or had been moved. However, I confirmed on a laptop that the file was in the same location and accessible/playable on the network. When I finally copied the file to the root of the network share, it found that file.

This was not isolated to a single file/folder, but numerous ones (5-6). I tried running the HD 200 in extender mode with a trial version of the SageTV server running on my WHS machine (where the videos are being hosted), and it found all of the videos/files. So this clearly seems to be an issue with the HD 200. I updated my firmware to the latest beta about 5 months ago; I believe I am currently running firmware 20090903.

Does anyone know of a way to forcefully clear the HD 200's list of available files and have it re-scan everything fresh?

Do you think it may be path string issue being to many characters or maybe to many layers deep? I had a similar issue with my ripped DVDs. Changed the path to something slightly shorter and not as deep, it resolved the issue.

I would of submitted a bug report but couldn't reproduce the issue. you may want to capture your logs or turn on logs and capture them and submit it to Sage.
