No Signal message
I downloaded the free trial almost 2 weeks ago which leaves me about a week left. I have not been able to use it (SageTV - live tv) at all yet.
When I select SageTV, Watch Live TV, the guide shows all the channels that I should be receiving (those I can get on my televison and via Windoes Media Center), but all I get is "No Signal" message, no audio or video. I have Cox cable service. Tv plays (and records) fine in Windows Media Center. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Are you using a digital QAM tuner? If so, did you perform a channel scan in SageTV for every digital tuner you configured? If not, do that.

I am using the cable from the source via a basic 1-in, 2-out splitter.
I have not disabled windows media center. I was not aware that it was necessary. How is that done? |

I don't have a Windows Media Center edition OS, but I did find this post in a Windows 7 FAQ, which might answer your question:
"1. I know we can't run SageTV at the same time as Win7 Media Center (or Vista Media Center, Beyond TV, or anything else that would want to use the TV Tuners). Do I need to take steps to specifically disable Win7 Media Center? What is the best way? A: Easiest way is to go to the Windows Control Panel. Select the Link on left side window for "Turn Windows Features On or Off." Follow folder tree to "Media Features" folder, open and go to "Windows Media Center" and uncheck the box. This will remove the Media Center components, but you can get them back easily by following these same steps and just re-checking the box." http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...s+media+center Dave |
