HD-PVR video slow to come up

This is an odd problem and I'm not even sure what to search for to see if there's already a solution.

Here's what happened: My wife and I were watching a show tuned via our HD-PVR from the cable box. Our TV is connected to an HD200 so all the other hardware is downstairs. When the show finished and the typical pause occurred the video did not start again. I stopped the show and tried starting it again but I got the little "spiraling circle" thing. After a few minutes of looking at that I just turned the HD200 off and turned it back on, tried tuning again and same thing. So went downstairs and did the usual, turn off HD-PVR, unplugged firewire from cable box for a few, stopped the sagetv service and the firewire channel change software. Then restarted the sagetv pc. Yeah it's annoying but I've found this procedure works for most problems. Now however, when I try to watch a show via my HDPVR the system locks up for about 4 minutes then the video starts. The oddest parts is there's 4 minutes of recorded show. Seems like it is tuning just fine but for some reason the video does not after a delay. I am at a total loss. Hope someone has some clue as to what might be happening here!

Some good news...this problem just stopped happening on it's own. I have no idea what caused it, and I hope it does not come back. It was very frustrating!!

I'll just blame the gremlins.
