USB-UIRT + Network Encoder (Sgraph Recorder)
I have been searching the forums for quite some time now and I havent found a definate anwser to the question.
I am using Intensity Pro as a Tuner as discribed in http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30607 this is working well. the Problem i am having is setting up SageTV to change the STB for me without using Exetuner i have edited the Sage.properties as follows mmc/encoders/410624/video_encoding_params=Bestmmc/feature_mask_disable\=0 mmc/feature_mask_disable=0 in this config the USB-Uirt optontion shows up within the video source setup Wizzard. I have setup a seperate copy of the EPG to control the channels for this HD tuner as the PVR 150 uses SD and its blaster and is working fine. I then go to the Tuner Control USB-URIT Tansceiver Dish6000 usbuirt and Test infrared Code and it works without fail within this testing code screen. Now, when I go to the the program guide I can select any of the channels for the SD pvr and the PVR 150 baster sends its IR signal to the STB and it works. I then go to the guide and select a channel programed to use the Intensity pro and the UIRT. The intensity pro activates and I get the full HD picture of what ever channel the STB is tuned into, the UIRT doesnt send a IR signal. I have read that you can use the EXEtuner option in Sgraphrecorder with girder but I am really trying to avoid this. I have also tried uninstalling the pvr-150 blaster and only using the UIRT this works for the pvr-150 but still wont change the channels for the (Sgraph recorder/intensity pro). Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated ps here is the SgraphRecorder.ini ; from Sage on. Use this when setting up the network encoder in Sage. [System] Port=6969 ; FileName is the name of graph to use. This graph should contain 1 instance ; of a "dump" filter that implements the IFileSink interface. ; TuningDelay is the number of milliseconds to wait after a channel change with ; Girder until the graph is started again. [Graph] FileName=e:\Capture\1080i Capture ATI.GRF TuningDelay=500 UnloadGraphOnStop=1 UnloadGraphOnSwitch=0 ; Set UseGirder to 1 to use Girder to change channel. ; Event to send to Girder will be string after GirderPrefix + channel number, ; for exampel "Channel1" (without the "" signs). ; The GirderIndividualNumbers controls if the whole channel number is sent in one ; event or if individual events is sent to Girder for each number in the channel. ; set it to 0 for events that looks like this "Channel791" and ; to 1 for "Channel7", "Channel9", "Channel1" with your actual prefix instead ; of channel of course. If GirderIndividualNumbers=1 the sequence is ended with an ; extra GirderPrefix without a number as an enter for the stb. ; Set GirderInterNumberTimeSpacing to number of milliseconds to wait between the ; individual numbers ; Configure host, port and password to Girder settings [Girder] UseGirder=0 GirderHost=127.0.0.1 GirderPort=1024 GirderPassword= GirderPrefix=Channel GirderIndividualNumbers=1 GirderInterNumberTimeSpacing=10 ; The ExeTuner section is used to call another program to change channel. ; Set UseExeTuner to 1 to use this. ; The program indicated in ExeTunerPath will be called with the cannel number as ; the only parameter. Provide the complete path to the Tuner program. [ExeTuner] UseExeTuner=0 ExeTunerPath= Thanks Slickwilly Last edited by Slickwilly; 04-17-2010 at 06:44 PM. |

When you use a network recorder, SageTV will not use a channel change plug-in because the tuning is the responsibility of the network recorder. Regards, Stéphane. |

Thank you for the reply
Given the prospect of not being able to force sagetv to tune for me with the usb uirt what means of tuning the STB would you personally use?? I D/L the girder program last nite and was a bit taken back by its setup .I also saw the $50 price and was displeased as well. I was looking for other options and saw your LM remote option tho, Im not sure if it would serve my purpose. lastly I saw HIP and became to tired of searching thru forums late last nite to read on . Any suggestions would be helpfull. Thanks again Slickwilly |

Well the SGraph recorder offers you two options:
1) Girder 2) Exetuner The option n°2 means that you can launch any executable that takes in argument a channel number and send this through the USB-UIRT. You can certainly use LM RKM for this it would requires to write a little vbscript to act as the executable required for the Exetuner option. Regards, Stéphane. |

I used the Intensity Pro for about a year before the HD PVR came out connected to a DirecTv HD box. I used exetuner, but in my case it ran an executable for serial control to the sat box.
Good luck! |
