Best avi to mpg trancoder?
Hi. What is the best free / open source avi to mpg transcoder that will also work with command line argurments?
I have lots of .avi recordings I want to temporary convert to .mpg so that I can then run them through ShowAnalyzer.

ffmpeg.. or, if you want more convenience, you could even just use sage's built-in encoder (which is really just ffmpeg, anyways). Either way, it's free, and can be run from the command line.
