Plugin: Upcoming Movies

Hello again,

I am grouping the movies by title.

When I do this, none of the sort methods seem to work other then sort by alpha.

For example, I change the sort method to by original airing date, and nothing changes in the display.

Anyone else notice this problem or know of a way around it?

I'm assuming your talking about the malore view. It looks like the sorting isn't working in any of the malore views. May be worth posting over in the Unofficial Secret Extra v7 UI Features thread and see if Opus4 can have a look at it.

I don't know if this plugin is still supported, but I'm using "Upcoming Movies 2" version 2.0.4, SageTV V9 and Gemstone 4.0203.

I've been using this plugin for years and I absolutely love it. I group movies by year and filter on my movie channels so I can easily find the newish releases.

Unfortunately it now seems to be broken. It is not listing anything newer than 2011 and the number of titles shown seems to be drastically reduced. Any idea what is going on here?

I don't know much about this plugin, but I would think this is view that could be created using gemstone flows. I haven't tried this, but, if Gemstone has an EPG source (or a SageExpression source), then you'd filter by Movie Type and then group by Year.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the purpose of this plugin is... the Malore Menus in the stock Sage STV can also do this.

But, if you're not seeing anything newer than 2011, I would guess something is wrong with the filter settings (maybe you don't have the correct channels configured, or you set it to filter out items marked "watched", or something).

I get the same if I clear all of the filters. It's very strange.

That grouping and filtering is done by the malore menus which isn't touched by the plugin, so it's a default STV issue.

I've had a quick look, but can't see what might be causing it

This works fine in the default STV -- I use the upcoming movies menu fairly often and see plenty of recent movies, up through 2015.

I would double check that there are no other filers in use and that you are using a newer STV if using the v9 core. And, try w/o any plugins.

Very strange. I enabled "The super secret bonus features", created a menu item for custom 1 and was able to get what I was looking for.

the new version of Gemstone2 i am working on is now based on the v9 STV so likely this will work when this us released

fun plugin - is there a way to set the window for upcoming movies, say six hours for example, and set the channels you're interested in?
