Recordings in multiple segments?
I am seeing recordings being broken up into multiple segments:
BlahBlah-12345-0.mpg BlahBlah-12345-1.mpg Is this configurable? JLM |

Is it possible that's what's happening your case above?

This can be caused by one of two things... Either the sage detected that the recording was halted, and sage restarted it, in which case, in playback you would have a missing section (usually shown as red on the timeline). Or, you are using a FAT32 File system, in which case, the files can only be 4GB in size, so sage breaks it up. This will play back seamlessly, and should not show any timeline gaps. (It has been discovered that sage does not properly detect exFAT file systems as being capable of >4GB files. Not sure if this was corrected yet or not).

It happens every night in the middle of simpsons producing two nearly equal file sizes.
The files are going to a 4TB Windows Home Server machine over a gigabit network so I don't know what Sage thinks about Fat32 or NTFS in a case like that. The biggest issue is that Sage only erases segment zero when you delete the recording leaving a bunch of orphaned multi-gigabyte files on the server. I wanted to find out if anyone knew anything before filing a bug report. JLM |

I would submit a bug report about it NOT deleting the segments, as it SHOULD delete them when you delete the recording.
