HVR-2250 QAM Tuning Problem Solved
The problem:
My HVR-2250 would scan approximately 50 clear QAM channels in Sage 7.10, including roughly one fourth that are HD. The majority of the scanned HD channels would not preview and would result in a "No Signal" when I attempted to tune the station for watching live TV. Also, a number of the stations that did preview would do it very slowly, starting with audio first followed by the video after a full minute delay.
The solution:
Then, I found the following in the SageTV Beta Test Software forum (entitled "Slow tuning in Sage7" -- see post #8) and, with the updated TSSplitter.ax, tuning works great now.
Quote:
I found the slow reason, the stream presents a "visually impaired commentary" audio in stream description, but there is no data available. SageTV wait that audio data till timeout.
Here is an update http://download.sage.tv/users/qian/7.0.10/TSSplitter.ax.
because I don't have stream data, I*didn't test it, count on you to test.

I hope this helps others experiencing the same issue.
