No update is available for 7.0.11

I updated to 7.0.10 after receiving the system message, but since I didn't see any system messages yesterday (or today) I tried to update through the Advanced menu. However the new 7.0.11 stv isn't showing up. Is there another way to get it or do I have to download the full .exe and install with that?

If I'm being impatient and should just wait for the system message, feel free to tell me to sit still.

7.0.11 is a completely new version of the SageTV, not just a STV update. Therefore you need to download the installer and use it to update to 7.0.11.

There was one STV update after 7.0.10 was released, so that is probably what you are thinking about. You do get system notifications on those and can update using the STV updater menu system. But SageTV beta versions (or release versions) require manual installation using the download installer.

7.0.11 is a new beta, not an STV. Download the beta as you did the first time from the beta thread in the forum and install and upgrade your 7.0.10 installation.

I thought I experienced the same thing and was going to post about it but will just reply here instead. I'm not sure if this is "normal" or not and this is more of an FYI post I suppose but...

From a clean install of Sage V7 I loaded 7.0.9. I received an information message that a new version was available. I said to go ahead and perform the update and this is when 7.0.10 was loaded. Now, five days ago, 7.0.11 came out but I received no notification nor did the "check for update" indicate that one was available. So, this morning I updated manually to 7.0.11

I think what is confusing to the thread starter and myself is that it seems like even though the version numbers are updating with some type of consistency, the updates to .10 and .11 may be an STV update or a complete program update? That just seems weird to me and it would seem that going from .09 to .10 to .11 would be "similar" type of updates but you guys are saying they are not?

This was posted above and it probably explains the confusion between new beta releases (0.9, 0.10, and 0.11) which have to be installed manually and an STV update that was pushed out during the 0.10 release:

New beta releases are announced here in the forums.
