HDHomerun not seen by SageTV
I've had SageTV and HDHomerun running on a Windows/XP system for several years, but being a long time Mac user, I decided to try the Mac version (maybe on a new Mac Mini). I downloaded the trial version of Sage and installed it on a MacBook Pro to give it a shot, but Sage doesn't see the HDHomerun. I installed the HDHomerun software and can run the configuration GUI and pick up channels, but SageTV doesn't see it when I go to set up the video sources.
Is there a special step I need to do to get Sage/Mac to recognize HDHomerun? I am currently running Sage on Windows, so if it "grabs" the HDHomerun I could understand that, but if that were the case I would think that the HDHomerun GUI wouldn't have been able to see it either. I'm probably missing a simple and obvious step, but given the lack of documentation on the SiliconDust pages for Mac, I'm not sure what to try next. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. |

There is no aoftware that needs to be installed for Sage on the Mac to work with the HDHR. If you are trying use the same HDHR with both setups you probably need to shutdown the Sage on XP completely and reboot the HDHR and only have the Sage for Mac running.

One thing at a time...
Thanks, that was the problem. I shut down the XP box and after a reboot, the MacBook recognized the HdHomerun. Probably too much to ask to have lots of systems accessing the HDHR at the same time, although it speaks highly of both HDHR and Sage that they recognized that another system was using the HDHR.

Since each tuner can be independantly configured it may still be possible to configure one tuner for the XP system and one for the Mac. Not sure though.
