(SOLVED) Latest HD200 Beta Firmware killed my 1080i output
After updating to latest beta firmware 20100709 my HD200 box will no longer detect 1080i resolution from my Samsung 32" LCD lnt3253hx xaa TV in the HDMI setup. It also does not work if I select it manually and use the "video out" button to attempt to select it. I used the last official HD200 release firmware before this and it would detect and work with 1080i without issue. I downgraded to that firmware and it worked again as well. I also re-tried to update to the latest beta and reset to defaults using "Delete" button w/ Power Cycle, but it still would not detect 1080i. I even tried setting FORCE HDMI in the advanced settings of the HD200 stand alone configuration and it didn't help either.
Any suggestions? My guess is that its a bug in the latest beta firmware. Thanks! - D2G Last edited by d2globalinc; 07-14-2010 at 01:05 AM. |

I would submit a bug report and see if they can help you fix it or confirm it is a bug

I had done that and the firmware update that came out 7/12/2010 fixed the issue. No problems now with 1080i..
Thanks! -D2G |

The firmware released on 7/19/10 killed 1080i for me. I'm using a HDMI to DVI connector with force HDMI enabled. I've submitted a bug report.

Well, Im really impressed.
The latest firmware 20100719 is just like a rocket, my HD200s are far snappier and even the wife has commented on the system been 'Faster'. Cool stuff lads. thank you Damian

I think the speed is placebo or random, but slight, differences in content/bootup/memory. I see boot times vary, I see load times to the stand-alone UI vary greatly, but overall, I haven't seen any speed increase in the responsiveness of the UI in either extender or stand-alone mode.
I'm currently running the 0719 version and so far haven't seen the video out issue. I'd probably advise everyone to do a reset by holding the DELETE button on the remote while plugging the HD200 power, as mentioned by SusieQQ in the other firmware thread: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...6&postcount=43
