You have Haali installed.

Download again, I changed it to explicitly use the File Source(Async.) filter as the source.

Ok, it doesn't through any errors, but it is crazy slow. like only 9% in the last 10 min. Almost like it's re encoding it.

I have to run out for a bit, so i'll check back in..

This is on a AMD 6 Core 8 Gig computer.

I didn't disable the clock, so it plays the video from one file into another.

I'm not sure what that means .

Question 1
Can you make it run faster?

Question 2
How exactly can I use this automatically?

Thanks for your hard work Andy!

Download again. Added "-nc" option to disable the clock (the file will stream as fast as possible). There is a risk that A/V will get out of sync in this state, but it probably won't.

You can use DTB to automate the process.

You can use DTB to automate the process.

Running a test now... Ummm what is "DTB"..

EDIT:
After some search are you taking about "DVRMSToolbox" ?

My current setup is as such:

1) WatchDirectory watches for new .ts and .mpg file in a video dump folder.
2) Once the video has completed recording it fires a bat file. (Sending file name information as variables to the bat file for me to use.)

Then the bat files look at another file (ShowParms.txt) to look up the show name and parameters for that show to do certain things; such as:

1) run VRD Quick Stream Fix, this also allows me to re-container the MPEG2 (.mpg) and H.264 (.ts) (HD DVR) into .ts containers. VRD handles the different file type automatically.

2) Comskip
3) Copy to the proper directory for family viewing.

Then problem I have now is that "DCTTStoMPEG" can't handle the h.264 files, and this creates a problem in a major pivot point for me..

Any idea's ?

PS: Much faster now with -nc

Thanks

Arrrg,
The DCTTStoMPEG solution is failing with these files just like VideoRedo does. VideoRedo typically gets much farther before failing. I saved the VRD log file if you need to see what is happening.

DCTTStoMPEG is getting to about the 02% mark then:

Stop
ConvertFile need Stop
ConvertFile stop Result: 1

Then is just sits there for some time (1-2 min) and simply dies.

Any idea?

The smallest that I can get is a 308mb cut.. It took me 7 tries to get that.. ;(

I'm uploading it to my MegaUpload account now.. just need a e-mail address where I can send the link to when it's finished uploading..

Download again. Run install.bat (right-click and run as admin) to regsvr32 filedump.dll.

Ok tried it on 2 corrupt files, and while it's getting much further in the conversion, it dies with the same error. 1 file made it to 63% the other 79%.

Sorry, dunno what the problem is. I wasn't able to repro with the sample after switching the writer.

Is there anyway to have sageDCT remux it like WMC7 does? I don't seem to have the problem with the WMC files.

Outside of that, I can send you another sample if your game?

I am looking at ways to interact with the tuner via DirectShow (PBDA being one approach), but because the current approach works for how I use it my interest is mostly academic.

Send another sample, I will test it.

Uploading now, this sample is particularly bad, as there is something in it that causes MediaInfo to crash. I have notices this with about 1/3 of the corrupted files, and it may very well be where the conversion process is failing in this file as it is around the same time area.

Does the Ceton card need to be in same computer that SageTV is running on, or can it be in another computer on the network?

If it has to be in the same computer, has anyone seen any problems with recording to a network location on another computer (e.g. WHS pool location)?

I would like to get a Ceton card, but I am reluctant to give up my WHS server. Thanks.

Oh and I should add, I know I would be willing to help fund this development

Anything to get sageDCT to write a complaint MPEG2 file would be well worth it to me and am sure many others here..

I'm not sure on the first question, but I'm pretty sure you can point to a network UNC path for the file deposit.

I would also contribute $$ to this goal.

Posted an updated version of SageDCT. If after updating it and making sure you have the latest drivers, firmware and other firmware ("FiOS") there is still a problem enable verbose logging and data receive logging and get me the log file.
Still get some, but not as much. I enabled verbose logging. What's the best way to get you the log file?
