What platform (x86|x64) are you using? Something is borked with the writer.

You can send future logs to andyvt@babgvant.com.

Andy - I just emailed you my latest logs using 2.1.3 in trying to get PBDA to work. Looking forward to seeing if you find anything.

I just uploaded 2.1.4, can you give it a try and LMK if you see the same issues? I don't see anything obvious in your logs.

PBDA seems to work in 2.1.4 now... what did you change? Need any further logs from me?

Using DirectShow from C# isn't really supported because .NET is non-deterministic and you need to be really careful about not referencing objects only as an interface in long running processes. The short story is that I wasn't doing that

Greek to me... but glad that it's working fairly well thus far in 2.1.4! I'll see how it fairs after recording shows for a couple days... but so far Plex likes a recorded show and is able to stream it seamlessly to my iPhone!

2.1.6

Feeling pretty good about this one. Thanks to everyone who helped sort out the flakiness in earlier builds.

babgvant, what is the best way to upgrade? Uninstall, and then install the new version? Will the settings be retained?

+1

PDBA and UPnP are not required for 2.1.6, but I am using X64. I'll give it a shot (without AVIVO) because of all of the other fixes.

Great work, Andy!

Ok, I'm having some very strange stuff happening and I can't put my finger on it. Since SageDCT2.1.1 through .5 my system will not go to sleep after a recording, and the cooling fans slowly ramp up to high (even though cpu utilization hovers around around 25%. (and stays ramped) As soon as I stop the SageDCT service, the fans ramp downs. If I restart the computer, and no recordings take place the machine will sleep.

The strange thing is I can't find anything using any cpu cycles related to SageDCT.

I'm going to install this version and see what happens..

Strange...

Bullish attitude was a bit unwarranted.

2.1.7

Next time this happens run:

Code:
powercfg -requests
from an escalated cmd prompt

Will do Andy, I woke up this morning and with version 2.1.6 (after the service restart we talked about) I was able to record 9 shows without any problems AND my machine was asleep...

Off to load version 2.1.7

Thanks for all your hard work, once we get this rock solid, then we need to move to a commercial transport filter...

EDIT:
I noticed when my machine woke up, the fans ramped up to a higher level then normal, so I checked the process and SageDCT is stuck at 40% with no recordings.

http://grab.by/bbHM

So I decided to check to see how it would react when I did start a recording..

http://grab.by/bbHR

EDIT: 2
Version 2.1.7 seems to solve the problem of not working after a reboot. Tested 3 times

EDIT: 3
Confirmed Version 2.1.7 is NOT releasing the cpu after a recording. CPU utilization remains at ~40% after the first recording and never falls back when there are no recordings..

EDIT: 4
Found SageDCT utilizing 60% of my 6 core AMD processor with no previous, or current recordings taking place

I'm not sure I understand.. If Verizon is setting the CCI to > 0x00 then it's not going to matter which you use, it's not going to work. Your only option is to use WMC7 and watch the recording on that machine.

Where are you located..?
