Foreign Fanart

If I have foreign fanart that I want to include and can download the images, is there any way to have Jetty interface pull the image from your computer. Just dropping it in the folder does not seem to work.

I'm not quite sure I understand... if you drop an image in the fanart folder, then a fanart plugin should pick it up.

I tried that and deleted all other fanart, but in sage the old image still showed up. There is another file called images. Not sure what that one is for? Here is what is in the file if I open in notepad.

The "images" file is used by the downloader to no download fanart that has already been downloaded. ie, when I download an artifact, I check to see if there is an entry in the images file, and if there is, then I skip it. That enables you to delete fanart from the fanart directory and not worry about it showing up again when you do a rescan.

But, you should be able to drop any images in the fanart directory, and it should show up. You could try rebooting the sage client/server and see if that makes a difference or not.

I am having the opposite problem. My locale is US and language is English. When I add a movie to the collection, fanart is auto downloaded. But, the cover art is always non-english and non-US cover. I have looked through all of the settings. I do not see any where to correct this. Any insight would be appreciated.

PS the correct cover is there. If I access the directory manually, delete the other covers, the correct one loads.

I am having the same issue. I am getting some foreign fanart mixed in with the english ones.

Is there any way to avoid this?

When I download fan art using the IMDB lookup or place the images manually in my imported media directory, from what I assume, SageTV waits till it rescans the media directory for new media to associate the images with the files and DVDs. It has always eventually pickup'd the the new media so I haven't really looked into it to closely. Maybe this is happening here too?

BMT downloads images that it is given. ie, I can't tell if an image is russian or english... i just download a link that is provided from tvdb, imdb, themoviedb, etc.

No problem... that's what the delete key was designed for

Yep, the delete key will work fine. Plus, how often do you add movies anyway. Correct it once, done.

What is odd though, is that v6 compatible version did not do this.
