New Build v1.20 api / 1.16 stvi REQUIRES MYMOVIES 3.17 R3 OR LATER!!

Heading says it all don't install the new build without making sure your mymovies version is at the recommended or later.

It won't work if not!!!

and visa versa the old version won't work with the new mymovies!!

My Movies for Windows Home Server 1.61 Pre Release 1. Since you can't grab 3.17pr3 anymore you will need that to install 3.18pr1

From the WHS perspective is there any requirement or will 1.60 (1.6.0.3) be sufficient? (As opposed to 1.61 (Pre Release 1))

Good call it is suppose to be My Movies for Windows Home Server 1.61 Pre Release 1. Since you can't grab 3.17pr3 anymore you will need that to install 3.18pr1.

Well, unfortunately, I didn't see this before doing the upgrade within SageTV.

After reading this, I went back and updated MyMovies to .18 PR1. MyMovies seems to be working fine...

I then removed and reinstalled the plug-in. It defaults to Disabled and when I try to enable it says "a required dependancy is missing or plug in is broken.."

I restarted windows and have tryed the process over again but to no avail...

Any suggestions?

Remove the UI plugin
Remove the General smm-api plugin

stop the sagetv service

delete the database directory from mymoviesshare\sagetv\

restart the service and reinstall the ui that should do it.

Thanks RAZRSHARPE!! I was able to find and delete the folder called DataFiles which contained the file "MyMoviesDataBetaV1.06.data". Unfortunately, it still doesn't work.

Wenthrough the process agian and still no dice...

Since there are three items to upgrade (WHS MM, MM Client, SMM) can you tell us the prefered upgrade order?

My guess is

1. upgrade WHS MM to 1.61 Pre Release 1
2. upgrade MM Client to 3.18pr1
3. upgrade SMM to v1.20api/v1.16stvi

?

So far the ones I have seen are not running the new Database

Once you install you need to open mymovies at the server on on a client (not smm) to get it to rebuild the database to the new version.

Hey Plucky,

I performed the upgrade and everything seems to be working properly, except the "Collection Number" and "Date Added" sorting filters don't seem to do anything anymore... I performed the upgrade a couple hours ago, should I wait for everything to "update" for this to be fixed or do I really have an issue.

Also, I did upgrade MyMovies Collection Management to 3.17 - there is a 3.18 BETA version available - how can I tell it is R3?

When you open the collection manager the splash screen should show the version .

Collection number and date added where two fields that changed so I am guessing you are not a high enough version...

Also failed to check the forum prior to updating What directory, is it the ..\sagetv\DataFiles folder??? (which is empty by the way) I'm seeing multiple directories, extender, etc, really don't want to loose my current configuration settings if possible or do I need to nuke the whole thing?

BTW I uninstalled both plugins now they are not showing up in the install plugins menu, will recycle everything and check again once I upgrade MyMovies. Manually backing up the MyMovies database now just in case.

The properties folder is your settings so keep that and you will be ok. The databse file holds no settings.
