Haha... yeah, I didn't think the SageTV build would matter but figured loading it wouldn't hurt

I did notice that after the restart of the service and SageTV that the Sage MyMovies icon was in the header bar immediately along with the Sage import scan icon. Normally I'm used to seeing the MyMovies icon show up after the Sage import icon goes away. Not sure if you changed something or if this is an indication that Sage MyMovies is "locked up" still.

By datafile do you mean MyMoviesDataBetaV1.201.data ? Just want to make sure I'm on the right page with ya And, this file's time stamp hasn't changed since I killed the database rebuild right after lunch. Looks like I need to delete that file and let it try to rebuild it again, correct? Thanks for your work on this, Plucky, and helping us get our little problems resolved!

And, yes, I'm talking about the icon seen on the main menu.

Yes stop the service an delete that file on restart of the service it will start again automatically rebuilding. I can't look at your logs no computer right Now but if that doesn't do it I will give them a look. I have a feeling it may be hanging at the scaling.

It's been moved to the MyMovies Plugin config screen
Dumb question: Where is the MyMovies Plugin config screen? I would have assumed it would be in Detailed Setup>Customize but I can't see it.

Thanks,

Mark

Ok,

Finally got everything working again

A couple of notes for those that had previously installed 1.20.

1. If you use the Sage Client make sure you also uninstall both the client and server plugins (SMM and SMM-API) before installing the new version. I missed the client uninstall initially and the SMM-API 1.201 still failed after install.
2. After fixing this SMM worked fine on the HD200 extenders (had to enable the SMM plugin though). However, when I installed the client plugins on the Sage client SMM didn't work and the SMM API was showing as failed. After I restarted the SageTV service and enabling the SMM plugin on the client it all started to work.

Hope this helps,

Mark

P.S. Thanks Plucky for getting this working again

Ooops,

Spoke to soon. One small issue is that there seems to be a problem with the properties files for the extenders. Instead of re-using the existing properties file (e.g. Extender-001d6a5cac33-MyMovies.properties) it has created a new one with the name of NotFound--001d6a5cac331-MyMovies.properties. What is unusual about this is that it has added the digit "1" to the end of the mac address in the file name.

The Sage Clients re-used their existing properties files (e.g. Client-00C0A87E1F19-MyMovies.properties) without problems.

Not a biggy - I can set it up again. Just curious though.

Regards,

Mark

Yup danger that is another one I didn't catch...errr I will get that fixed too. I knew I moved allot of code around and was afriad of this. Although it shouldn't say not found....the means it can't get the uicontext which isn't good news at all but I think that has to do with the addition of the 1 as well.

Again sorry I will get this fixed.

Hey Plucky! I tried the above with no difference... I let it go all night and it still indicates the rebuild is in process. Seems to be getting stuck at the same point though because the new database file is also 23 meg. Do you still have the log files that you looked at yesterday or do you need me to resend? Thanks!

Hey Plucky! Well, I'm one step further but looks like I'm back to where I was previously... I can now access Sage MyMovies and everything looks normal but the MyMovies icon in the upper bar is not going away and in the config menu it still indicates "In process". I did delete all the folders like you suggested and the database file did get recreated again and, again, is still the same size at 23meg. I'm wondering if it is actually completing the database but just can't get past a final step or something like that? Seems weird that I've deleted that sucker 3 times now and each time it ends up at the same point. I haven't tried to add another movie yet so not sure what will happen when I try that.

Any other ideas? Could it be because of the size of the collection?

Thanks!

Keep in mind the icon doesn't mean the database is corrupt it means the import process of mymovies has not finished fully. Which in your case probably relates to scaling or caching error of images. From your logs the database is getting created fine no errors.

If you could send me a sagetv server log it would help decipher what is causing the hang.

Right... but when the icon never goes away it seems like something isn't right. That is what I was getting at

For the sagetv server log... I'm a bit ignorant here. I went into setup and enabled logging and restarted the service and SageTV. Does this log show up in the same folder as the MyMovies logs?

No it is in the sagetv\sagetv\ folder and called sagetv_0.txt for the most recent.

Make sure and enable logging and logging messages.

Well I am having dificulties with this issue. I have a whs server with 2X HD200 and 1XHD300. I can get my movies to install on my server but not on any of my extenders. It fails on all extenders. The API fails to install on any of the extenders. I have attempted many ways to install (making sure mymovies was completely uninstalled off the whs sagetv server and client). If I install on the server itself, mymovies install fine. If I go to an extender the api fails and disables mymovies. I have upgraded my database and collection management to the latest prerelease.

Ok. I did enable logging so hopefully I did it right. Sent an email with server logs and recent MyMovies logs. Thanks!

Why are you installing on the server? Installing on the server and extender is installing in the same location essentially since the extender runs on the server. I can't help without any logs as I have told others. See the wiki and make sure it is a trace log.

It was a last resort to attempt to install directly to the server. I did however find out if I attempt to install to the server, it works on the server. When I go to the extender, the install failed and is disabled. The server is functioning.

I was trying to see if someone had a quick fix versus bothering you since I know you are so busy. I will follow the wiki and submit the logs.

Bill
