Hauppauge 2250 and irremote.ini

Hi everyone

Waking out of Windows Standby (S3) using a Harmony 520 remote, SageTV is not turning on (waking from tray). I've done the "Sage having focus" tips, to no avail. This has not been a problem with my Hauppauge 350, 250 and 150 cards.

I found that with my Hauppauge (45 button) remote I have to press the green "Power" button twice. It seems that the first press gives SageTV focus, so the second press wakes SageTV. After that all works perfectly, until I wake from Standby again. So I have to keep switching between remotes. Ack

I applied the ForegroundLockTimeout tweak (0) long ago, and though it used to work, it doesn't with the 2250. I installed the latest IR driver (ir32_28015.exe) as well.

Note that on PC reboot this is not a problem. Only from Standby.

Is there a setting in the irremote.ini that works with the 2250?

Windows XP SP3
SageTV v7.0.23

Thanks all.

Can't you teach the green button from your Hauppague remote to your Harmony 520? Add it to the LCD screen controls.

I probably could, but that's still those extra clicks. I can use the Hauppauge remote for that matter. I like the softer touch buttons.

I'd just like to get it back to the way that it was. One click did it all. This really has me stumped.

It's got to be some simple irremote entry. But I've really tried. Something about the 2250 I guess.

Thanks for the post gplasky.

Yes I did. As I stated though, everything worked fine until I installed the 2250. And the only thing that's not right yet is waking out of Standby. Everything else works perfectly.

I don't understand enough to try "creating" my own irremote code, and I've rearranged all of the ones I have to no avail.

I have, and have used both of the "no-focus" files and only have the one issue.

Note that I do not have the MCE remote that comes in some boxes with the 2250. I bought the bare-bones model. I don't think it matters though, as the 45 button remote works fine....kinda.

I'm getting an ulcer.

I'll look more into the SendMessage.exe thing.

Thanks Gerry.

Saw that, had to chuckle. I'm going to test it just for the heck of it. I'll let you know.

Adding later: Didn't work for me.
