Sage7 for WHS

To upgrade a SageTV WHS to Sage 7, is a license key required to be purchased?

I think the short answer to your question is going to be yes. If you purchased your current SageTV version before Dec. 1st, 2009, you will need an upgrade license. If you purchased a version 6 license on or after Dec. 1st, 2009, then that key should also work with SageTV v7.

If you are running SageTV v6 and need to upgrade, then you will need to purchase a Windows version upgrade license. There is no specific WHS upgrade license, just get the SageTV Media Center for Windows Version 7 Upgrade item in the SageTV Store to get an upgrade key. The WHS version and non-WHS versions of SageTV use the same licensing system so the keys are interchangable between WHS and non-WHS Windows versions of SageTV.

Thanks, That's what I thought, but before I spent the $$$ on the license I figured I would check.... my luck, I would buy it, and find out I didn't...
