Sorting upcoming movies in SageTV Version 7

In SageMC prior to SageTV version 7, I was easily able to view upcoming HD movies sorted by year. This allowed me to easily see what movies that were released in the past year or so are playing on the movies channels.

I can't seem to find a sort by year option in version 7. Am I missing something obvious or does the default STV not have this ability?

Unless you are referring to something else, I think you are talking about the custom malore menus in the hidden features.

You could do this with Malore Custom Menus. SageMC also had an "Upcoming Movies" that was sortable by year.

I can't find a "sort by year" option in the Malore Menu's in SageTV 7. JREkiwi released an "Upcoming Movies" plugin, but it also seems to lack the ability to sort by year.

I tried sorting by original air date in Malore Menu's, but for some reason it continued to sort by Title.

In the Upcoming Movies malore menu, you can group the left side by "Year (Movies)", then sort the right side by Title & then browse by year. I don't think you would really want to sort the right side by year, would you? If so, under what type of grouping?

I got it now. I was trying to sort the left pane with "sort" instead of "grouping". Once I set "grouping" to year, everything became clear. Thanks!
